If you select to take out our stove glass insurance this covers your stove glass for the time period you select. If your glass breaks within that time period we will send you a replacement piece of glass regardless of the reason the glass broke. All we will ask is that you send a picture of the broken glass.
The insurance only covers you for one replacement piece of glass. It doesn't cover you if you break the replacement piece of glass.
All stove glass is covered during delivery and any glass broken in transit to you will be replaced free of charge, without affecting your stove glass insurance.

    Free 1 Man Delivery

Our "Free Delivery" is a one man service. The goods will arrive on a lorry that is about the size of a fire engine. (Please let us know in advance if you have restricted access.).

The lorry has a tail lift that allows the driver to get the stove/oven off the vehicle, the stove/oven will be packed on a pallet and the driver will have a pallet truck.

He'll be able wheel this as close as possible to your property, if you have a garage he'll be able to wheel it into there for you.

The pallet truck can only be wheeled over a finished surface so it's not possible to wheel it over a gravelled drive nor is it possible to wheel up or down steps.

The pallets are normally about a 1m wide so this is the minimum width gate they can fit through. Please note that the driver is not insured to unpack or carry the stove/oven into your house.

If the goods are showing 24hr or 48hr delivery then this is the quickest time we're able to deliver these items. You'll be asked to select your a delivery date when purchasing the goods.

Please note that it is an all day delivery.

    Two Man Delivery (£30)

As the name suggests with our two man delivery service the goods will be delivered by two men. They will carry your stove into the room of your choice.

They will normally carry it up 1 flight of stairs (if it's safe to do so) but this is at their discretion so if you have a 3rd floor flat please inform us before hand to avoid any issues during delivery.

The two man delivery normally take 5 - 10 working days to be delivered from dispatch. Once the goods are in stock you will be contacted and delivery arranged.

What do i need to rear flue this fire? Thanks
    A:
Thank you for your question. How you flue a stove is dependant on your situation. Some people like to have the stove sat out in the room a little so they rear flue it and other times due to space you need to rear flue a stove. If you need any assistance on working out how your stove would need to be fitted then please feel free to contact us.

hi, can you tell me how far the door swings out once it is open, i was told the heart must not be shorter than the door when opened.
    A:
    Hi Marta,
    Thank you for your question.
The door on the Gallery Classic 8 stove is approx 400mm.
The UK Building Regulations (Part J) state that a hearth should be: 500mm from the front edge of the chimney breast and at least 300mm from the front of the stove.
My stove has a 300mm hearth in front of it and occasionally ash that collects in the door drops to the carpet, so I wish I'd gone for a bigger hearth. I don't open the door fully for refuelling and only clean it out when it's cold, to avoid any accidents. If you have the room for it, a bigger hearth would be better.
You can download the full Building Regs mentioned here - https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/468872/ADJ_LOCKED.pdf
The section on hearths is on pages 35 and 36.
Please get in touch if you need more help or advice.

what do you mean when you say it is not suitable for a 12mm hearth.?
    A:
    Hi Yasmin,
    Thank you for your question.
The "Suitable for 12mm Hearth" description is for freestanding stoves that are suitable to sit on a 12mm glass, stone or metal hearth usually in open plan situations.
If a stove is marked as suitable you can use one of these hearths. Suome stoves give out less than 100°C heat below the stove which is what makes then suitable.

If a stove is not suitable it must be sited on a constructional hearth and full details will be included in the installation guide.

Is this suitable for a room 16'8 x 11'6? Room has a bigbay window and door out to an open hall way so can be cold and drafty.
    A:
    Hi Nick,
    Thank you for your question.
I looked at your measurements and am assuming an 8ft (2.4M) ceiling height and the bay window included in the 16'8 (5.1M).
Our stove calculator recommends a stove with a 3.5kW output for a room this size with an insulation rating "poor".

If the property is particularly cold and draughty you might need a 4.9kW such as the Gallery Classic 5 Stove, but I think the Classic 8 stove would be too big for this room.
Can I suggest you take the full room measurements and use our Stove calculator to find a suitable stove - https://www.directstoves.com/stove-calculator
    Hope this helps?

Hi I have an open plan dinner room/ kitchen in the kitchen I have a range cooker than has an extractor fan this is 14ft away from chimney is this ok?
    A:
    HI Ashley,
    Thank you for your question.
The distance from the extractor fan to the stove is not the problem.
The problem is "will the fan cause negative pressure in the room which will stop the stove flue system from working properly, and result in smoke in the room?".
You will need to get your stove fitter to do a survey of the property.
They will be able to advise if your extractor fan is a problem and make recommendations of how to solve the problem.
One solution is to get a stove with an external air feed kit and another is to have an additional air brick sited near the stove.
It is best to get your fitter to do a pressure test with the fan on and off.
If you don't have a fitter, find one on the Hetas website - http://www.hetas.co.uk/find-installer/
    Hope this helps?

Hello What does it mean when it says it is not suitable for a 12mm hearth...what does it need?
    A:
    Hi Sarah,
    Thank you for your question.
Some stoves can be fitted using a 12mm thick glass hearth. This can even sit on top of carpet. The criteria for this is that the temperature below the stove must be less than 100°C.
The Firefox 8 stove is likely to become hotter than this and so must be fitted on a constructional hearth. This is a hearth made of concrete. Full details of constructional hearths can be found in the Building Regulations part J. Available from your local planning office or online here - https://www.planningportal.co.uk/info/200135/approved_documents/72/part_j_-_combustion_appliances_and_fuel_storage_systems
