Liner Pack & Stove Kits

Direct Stoves - Stove Fitting Kits*
What's included in the fitting kit
  • 1. Black stove pipe.
  • 2. A registration plate is used to seal the chimney opening off from the room preventing dust, soot, dirt and debris falling down the chimney. It also helps to prevent a draft coming down the chimney. We supply a standard 800mm x 400mm galvanised steel register plate with all our stoves. You will simply need to cut the plate to size to fit into your chimney opening.
  • 3. We also provide you with a single stove glove that you can use for stoking the fire and adding wood without the risk of personal injury.

*Only available for wood, multifuel and gas stoves. Excluded for the following which do not need these items: inset stoves, electric stoves, flueless and balanced flue gas stoves and outdoor & garden products.

Optional Extras.
Carbon Monoxide Detector:

Due to an update to Building Regulations it is now law to have a Carbon Monoxide alarm present in any room with a solid fuel appliance:- The Building Regulations 2000 Approved Document J (2010 Edition) '2.34 Where a new or replacement fixed solid fuel appliance is installed in the dwelling, a carbon monoxide alarm should be provided in the room where the appliance is located.'

Flue Liner Packs:
The flue liner pack consists of; a flue adaptor, which connects the stove pipe to the flexible flue liner, Dura Flue flexible flue liner (this will have a relevant diameter to the outlet size of the stove and 316 Grade) cut to the required length and a pot hanger rain cap, this supports the flue liner from the top of the chimney and also acts as a bird guard and rain cap.

Stove Pipe with Door:
A stove pipe with door or access point, allows the chimney to be swept through the pipe itself.

Stove Glass Insurance:
If you select to take out our stove glass insurance this covers your stove glass for the time period you select.
If your glass breaks within that time period we will send you a replacement piece of glass regardless of the reason the glass broke. All we will ask is that you send a picture of the broken glass.
The insurance only covers you for one replacement piece of glass. It doesn't cover you if you break the replacement piece of glass.
All stove glass is covered during delivery and any glass broken in transit to you will be replaced free of charge, without affecting your stove glass insurance.

Could you please explain what it means when it says in the specification -
Suitable for a 12mm hearth - no.
Regards
Kevin
Question by: Kevin Procter on 5 Apr 2022, 10:47
Hi Kevin, thanks for getting in touch.

The requirement for a 12mm hearth installation typically occurs when the room that you wish to install in has no available chimney or fireplace. If you are planning to install your freestanding stove into this particular type of room, it is essential to have a hearth placed below the stove to allow a safe distance to combustible materials to be maintained. The decision on the type of hearth that you may need is dependent on the type of stove that you plan to install.

Many stoves have now been tested by stove manufacturers to ensure that they do not increase the temperature of the floor to more than 100°C. This means these stove appliances can simply be installed straight to a minimum 12mm thick non-combustible superimposed hearth, without the need of a constructional hearth.

For stoves that increase the temperature of the floor over the value of 100° C (or have not been tested), it is important for the stove to stand on a constructional hearth which has a minimum thickness of 125mm.

A constructional hearth is usually built in when the house is constructed. Made of concrete slab of approx. 125mm thick, and is used in conjunction with a superimposed hearth. A constructional hearth will extend beneath the heating appliance and out into the room, and will be larger than required by the superimposed hearth.

Often referred to as a “decorative” hearth, the superimposed hearth is the decorative part for the hearth that is slightly above the normal floor level. Made from materials such as slate, tiles or granite, it has a minimum thickness of 12mm.

I hope this helps!

Hi Steve, thanks for getting in touch. The register is 1 - 1.2mm in thickness (there will be tolerances we must add) . We would recommend a 90 degree T with with sweeping access.

What is the distance to combustibles from the front please?
Question by: Jeffrey Hart on 3 May 2021, 21:08
Hi there Jeffrey, thanks for getting in touch. The only distances given by the manufacturer themselves are as follows:
Distance to Combustibles - Rear 450mm
Distance to Combustibles - Sides 450mm

They do also say in the User Manual:

Woolly Mammoth stoves must be installed on constructional hearths of non-combustible material of at least 125mm depth, extending at least 150mm out from the stove either side and 300mm to the front.

I hope this helps?

Delivery Info

Free 1 Man Delivery – For Full Details Please See Delivery Information

Our "Free Delivery" is a one-man service. The goods will arrive on a lorry that is about the size of a fire engine. (Please let us know in advance if you have restricted access or other local issues that could affect delivery).

The lorry has a tail lift that allows the driver to get the item(s) off the vehicle. The order will be packed and secured onto a pallet and the driver will have a pallet truck. He'll be able to wheel this as close as possible to your property. The pallet truck can only be wheeled over a finished surface so it's not possible to wheel it over a gravelled drive, steps, steep slopes for example. The pallets are normally about 1m wide so this is the minimum width gate they can fit through. Please note that the driver is not insured to unpack or carry the item(s) into your house.

Fitting Kits and Liner Packs might arrive separately by courier delivery on the same day unless specified/requested in advance. An email confirmation will be sent if this is the case.

If the goods are showing 48hr delivery, then this is the quickest time we're able to deliver these items (We do not deliver at weekends). You'll be asked to select a delivery date when purchasing the goods. Please note that if you live offshore these dates do not apply as it will take us slightly longer to get the goods to you and we will contact you directly.

Please note that it is an all-day delivery service which is generally from 9 am – 6 pm Monday to Friday. Delivery Depots, if they have the facility, will text in advance but as the vans do multiple runs a day you might not receive a text until the afternoon if this service is available.

Due to current pallet network pressures mainly due to driver shortages we cannot guarantee delivery on your chosen day but will do our best to communicate this as soon as we are made aware by the carriers.

PLEASE NOTE THAT WE STRONGLY ADVISE THAT YOU DO NOT BOOK ANY CONTRACTORS, PLUMBER’S, OR FITTERS UNTIL YOU HAVE RECEIVED YOUR GOODS AS UNEXPECTED DELAYS CAN OCCUR.
