When buying a log burning stove, what are the priorities?

Warmth? Without doubt. Style? Definitely. The perfect fit for your room? Of course.

But what about its overall functionality? Your stove can do more than look good, blast out heat and sit just right in your house.

With raised legs, and space underneath, log store stoves excel in making the most of the space you have in your house whilst looking great, and helping you to keep a constant fuel supply to your roaring flames.

A lot of the time, it's an optional extra to store your logs, but with these beauties the space comes included.

'Is it Safe to Store Logs Next to a Wood Burner?'

This is an extremely common question, and with good reason too. Some stoves are described as 'tall' or 'high' , such as the Saltfire Peanut 3 Tall and the Ekol Clarity High, but are strictly not sold for the purpose of filling the space with logs (although some people do). Due to the high temperatures reached by the exterior of a stove, if you were to fill the base with logs and they were then touching the underside of the main stove there could be too much heat transfer potentially.

This means that only certain stoves can legitimately be described as having 'log stores', and it is though products we'll be looking at more closely below.

Read on to discover some of our favourite Stoves with Log Stores.
