Direct Stoves - Stove Fitting Kits*
What's included in the fitting kit
    • 1. Black stove pipe.
    • 2. A registration plate is used to seal the chimney opening off from the room preventing dust, soot, dirt and debris falling down the chimney. It also helps to prevent a draft coming down the chimney. We supply a standard 800mm x 400mm galvanised steel register plate with all our stoves. You will simply need to cut the plate to size to fit into your chimney opening.
    • 3. We also provide you with a single stove glove that you can use for stoking the fire and adding wood without the risk of personal injury.

*Only available for wood, multifuel and gas stoves. Excluded for the following which do not need these items: inset stoves, electric stoves, flueless and balanced flue gas stoves and outdoor & garden products.

    Optional Extras.
    Carbon Monoxide Detector:

Due to an update to Building Regulations it is now law to have a Carbon Monoxide alarm present in any room with a solid fuel appliance:- The Building Regulations 2000 Approved Document J (2010 Edition) '2.34 Where a new or replacement fixed solid fuel appliance is installed in the dwelling, a carbon monoxide alarm should be provided in the room where the appliance is located.'

    Flue Liner Packs:
The flue liner pack consists of; a flue adaptor, which connects the stove pipe to the flexible flue liner, Dura Flue flexible flue liner (this will have a relevant diameter to the outlet size of the stove and 316 Grade) cut to the required length and a pot hanger rain cap, this supports the flue liner from the top of the chimney and also acts as a bird guard and rain cap.

    Stove Pipe with Door:
A stove pipe with door or access point, allows the chimney to be swept through the pipe itself.

  • Delivery Info

Free 1 Man Delivery – For Full Details Please See Delivery Information

Our "Free Delivery" is a one-man service. The goods will arrive on a lorry that is about the size of a fire engine. (Please let us know in advance if you have restricted access or other local issues that could affect delivery).

The lorry has a tail lift that allows the driver to get the item(s) off the vehicle. The order will be packed and secured onto a pallet and the driver will have a pallet truck. He'll be able to wheel this as close as possible to your property. The pallet truck can only be wheeled over a finished surface so it's not possible to wheel it over a gravelled drive, steps, steep slopes for example. The pallets are normally about 1m wide so this is the minimum width gate they can fit through. Please note that the driver is not insured to unpack or carry the item(s) into your house.

Fitting Kits and Liner Packs might arrive separately by courier delivery on the same day unless specified/requested in advance. An email confirmation will be sent if this is the case.

If the goods are showing 48hr delivery, then this is the quickest time we're able to deliver these items (We do not deliver at weekends). You'll be asked to select a delivery date when purchasing the goods. Please note that if you live offshore these dates do not apply as it will take us slightly longer to get the goods to you and we will contact you directly.

Please note that it is an all-day delivery service which is generally from 9 am – 6 pm Monday to Friday. Delivery Depots, if they have the facility, will text in advance but as the vans do multiple runs a day you might not receive a text until the afternoon if this service is available.

Due to current pallet network pressures mainly due to driver shortages we cannot guarantee delivery on your chosen day but will do our best to communicate this as soon as we are made aware by the carriers.

PLEASE NOTE THAT WE STRONGLY ADVISE THAT YOU DO NOT BOOK ANY CONTRACTORS, PLUMBER’S, OR FITTERS UNTIL YOU HAVE RECEIVED YOUR GOODS AS UNEXPECTED DELAYS CAN OCCUR.

  • FAQs
Consider two similar spec.stoves; one costs say, £700 the other £1700 , realistically speaking, what are you getting for your money in the more expensive stove?
Question by: Donald Miller on 27 Jun 2023, 22:32
    Hi

Generally speaking the lower priced ones are made in Eastern Europe, The parts are easy to get hold of these days.

People normally go for the more expensive ones due to them being British made and the warranty.

    I hope this helps

I was reading about wood burners being bad for your health. Emitting particles PM2 that are able to enter your lungs. Is this stove polluting?
Question by: Georgina Morgan on 18 Nov 2020, 07:02
Hi Georgina , as it is an eco design stove it is less harmful for the environment. You can read more info around the subject generally in some of our blog posts, here -

How far does this style need to be from combustibles?
(we are going to have a wooden beam on top of the chimney chamber)
Question by: sally on 16 Nov 2020, 15:43
    Hi Sally,
    Thank you for your question.

If the beam is on the edge of the fireplace opening then there should be a distance of at least (3 x the diameter of the flue pipe) from the flue pipe to the beam by line of sight.

This can be reduced by using twin wall flue pipe which generally needs a few centimetres distance (5, 6, or 7) depending on the pipe manufacturers' spec.

If the beam is to be fitted higher up the chimney breast, and there is no direct line of sight to the flue pipe then normal flue pipe can be used without any worry.

For individual advice we recommend contacting your local HETAS installer, they are qualified to install and provide all the paperwork for your local authority and insurers. You can find one near you here - https://www.hetas.co.uk/find-installer/

    Hope this helps?

Hi what is the size of the viewing window on this model? What is the difference between this model and the classic 5?
Question by: Joe Capstick on 13 Jul 2020, 23:34
    Hi Joe,
    Thank you for your questions.
The viewing window is 355mm wide by 285mm high.
The Classic Ecodesign stove is physically taller and wider than the Classic 5 by approx 95mm in both directions but not as deep enabling it to fit within shallower fireplaces.
The Ecodesign has a better heat efficiency of 84% compared to 79% on the Classic; this means only 16% of the heat generated is lost to the chimney, making more use of your fuel.
The Ecodesign model exceeds the new standards for emissions and particulates that are to be enforced from 2022.
    Hope this helps?
    Kind regards,
