Carbon Monoxide Detector:
Due to an update to Building Regulations it is now law to have a Carbon Monoxide alarm present in any room with a solid fuel appliance:- The Building Regulations 2000 Approved Document J (2010 Edition) '2.34 Where a new or replacement fixed solid fuel appliance is installed in the dwelling, a carbon monoxide alarm should be provided in the room where the appliance is located.'
Flue Liner Packs:
The flue liner pack consists of a flue adaptor which connects the stove pipe to the flexible flue liner, Dura Flue flexible flue liner (this is 6" in diameter and 316 Grade) cut to the required length and a 6" pot hanger rain cap this supports the flue liner from the top of the chimney and also acts as a bird guard and rain cap.
Stove Pipe with Door:

Stove Glass Insurance:
If you select to take out our stove glass insurance this covers your stove glass for the time period you select. If your glass breaks within that time period we will send you a replacement piece of glass regardless of the reason the glass broke. All we will ask is that you send a picture of the broken glass.

Please make the relevant selection above when placing your order if you require any of these parts and also select whether or not you require a Carbon Monoxide alarm sending out with your order. Please note that if these parts aren't selected with your order we can't send them for free after your order has been delivered.

- Absolutely Brilliant! Review by C Edwards
- Purchased this a couple of months ago, great customer service, price matched, free delivery, so this company can be trusted! We recently moved into a house with a small open fire, complete with surround and didn't want to spend thousands taking it all to pieces so decided on the Tiger Inset stove to slot straight into the gap and it works perfectly! It is double lined and designed to fit straight into an existing British fireplace opening. No extra building works are required and small gaps behind don't need to be filled. It just seals against your stone facing/hearthwith 4 supplied bolts which grip straight into masonry. We had our flu checked and it was already lined. Some chimneys don't need lining. No extra connection is required up into the flu! It works great, efficient and looks brilliant! (Posted on 01/01/2017)

Free 1 Man Delivery
If the goods are showing 24hr or 48hr delivery then this is the quickest time we're able to deliver these items. When you're going through the checkout process you'll be asked to select a delivery date. The goods will be delivered on this day.
It's an all day delivery but we do request that the driver calls one hour before he's due to arrive. The goods will arrive on a lorry that is about the size of a fire engine, so if you have restricted access please let us know in advance.
The lorry will have a tail lift that allows the driver to get the stove off the vehicle, the stove will be packed on a pallet and the driver will have a pallet truck. He'll be able wheel the pallet (stove) as close as possible to your property, if you have a garage he'll be able to wheel it into there for you.
The pallet truck can only be wheeled over a finished surface so it's not possible to wheel it over a gravelled drive nor is it possible to wheel up or down steps.
The pallets are normally about a 1m wide so this is the minimum width gate they can fit through. Please note that the driver is not insured to unpack or carry the stove into your house.
Two Man Delivery (£30)
As the name suggests with our two man delivery service the goods will be delivered by two men. They will carry your stove into the room of your choice.
They will normally carry it up 1 flight of stairs (if it's safe to do so) but this is at their discretion so if you have a 3rd floor flat please inform us before hand to avoid any issues during delivery.
The two man delivery normally take 5 - 10 working days to be delivered from dispatch. Once the goods are in stock you will be contacted and delivery arranged.
Questions & Answers
Does this fire require a flue liner? What are the actual dimension of the plate to seal against the fire surround. The text and drawing conflictA:Hi David,
Thank you for your question.
Flue lining your chimney is optional with an inset stove, The liner is there to improve the chimney's draw and to make sure it is airtight. We would recommend that you have the chimney inspected and smoke tested by a professional. If you find that you do need a liner please remember that you will also need a flue adaptor to connect the liner to the stove.
The inset measurements of the Tiger Inset stove are:
This allows the stove to sit inside a standard 16 x 22 inch (406 x 559mm) fireplace.
The outer part of the stove is 520mm wide and 600mm high which will cover over a standard 16 x 22inch fireplace opening.
Hope this helps?
Customer Support answered on 30 June 2017Hi I have a flue liner already installed however it is 175mm class 1 is your stoves compatible with this flue kind regards markieA:Thank you for your question.
As long as it's a solid fuel flue liner in either 316 or 904 grade steel then yes it's fine to use with this stove. All you need is an adaptor that will connect the stove pipe to the flue liner. The flue on the tiger is 150mm so you need an increasing adaptor to fit onto the 175mm flue you have. We can also supply one of these if you wish.
Many ThanksCustomerSupport answered on 8 May 2018Hi, Will this fit flush into a wall above floor level if that makes sense?A:Hi Faye,
Thank you for your question, it does make sense :)
You want to raise the stove from the hearth level to somewhere further up the face of the chimney.
The Tiger inset is designed to sit on a hearth so it is likely that the bottom edge will not be "finished". For raised off the floor inset I think you need to look at our "cassette stoves" these are designed to sit either at floor level or higher up the wall. They have finished edges on all 4 sides whereas regular insets are only finished on 3 sides.
You can find our cassette stoves here - https://www.directstoves.com/stoves/cassette-stoves.html
hope this helps?
Customer Support answered on 2 August 2017I have the option to light a coal fire. Would I need to get the chimney cleaned before I install a multi fuel inset stove? Would I need to purchase a flue liner?A:Thank you for your question.
I would advise that you sweep the chimney first and check it's in good condition. The chimney sweep would be able to advise if you need the chimney lining. It's good practice to line a chimney but not always necessary.
Many ThanksCustomerSupport answered on 25 May 2018will this stove meet the government regulations on clean air now expected to be in force in 2020?A:Hi Dave,
Thank you for your question.
The Tiger Inset stove has not been tested yet to see if it will pass the Ecodesign 2022 standards.
We have a comprehensive list of stove that have passed the tests here - https://www.directstoves.com/stoves/sia-ecodesign-stoves.html

An opening width (A) of between 400 and 420mm

Hope this helps?
Customer Support answered on 21 August 2017What size diameter flue liner is required with the Tiger Inset stove?A:Thank you for your enquiry.
As this is a multi fuel stove you would require a 6" (150mm) flexible flue liner.
You would also need to select the option flue adaptor is you were using it with a flexible flue liner.
Many ThanksCustomerSupport answered on 28 August 2017Dose it have an back boiler? foe hot water and radiatorA:Thank you for your enquiry.
The Tiger Inset Stove doesn’t have a back boiler to heat water. If you want an inset stove that can heat water then have a look at the link below which lists all the inset boiler stoves we offer.
