Liner Pack & Stove Kits

Direct Stoves - Stove Fitting Kits*
What's included in the fitting kit
  • 1. Black stove pipe.
  • 2. A registration plate is used to seal the chimney opening off from the room preventing dust, soot, dirt and debris falling down the chimney. It also helps to prevent a draft coming down the chimney. We supply a standard 800mm x 400mm galvanised steel register plate with all our stoves. You will simply need to cut the plate to size to fit into your chimney opening.
  • 3. We also provide you with a single stove glove that you can use for stoking the fire and adding wood without the risk of personal injury.

*Only available for wood, multifuel and gas stoves. Excluded for the following which do not need these items: inset stoves, electric stoves, flueless and balanced flue gas stoves and outdoor & garden products.

Optional Extras.
Carbon Monoxide Detector:

Due to an update to Building Regulations it is now law to have a Carbon Monoxide alarm present in any room with a solid fuel appliance:- The Building Regulations 2000 Approved Document J (2010 Edition) '2.34 Where a new or replacement fixed solid fuel appliance is installed in the dwelling, a carbon monoxide alarm should be provided in the room where the appliance is located.'

Flue Liner Packs:
The flue liner pack consists of; a flue adaptor, which connects the stove pipe to the flexible flue liner, Dura Flue flexible flue liner (this will have a relevant diameter to the outlet size of the stove and 316 Grade) cut to the required length and a pot hanger rain cap, this supports the flue liner from the top of the chimney and also acts as a bird guard and rain cap.

Stove Pipe with Door:
A stove pipe with door or access point, allows the chimney to be swept through the pipe itself.

Stove Glass Insurance:
If you select to take out our stove glass insurance this covers your stove glass for the time period you select.
If your glass breaks within that time period we will send you a replacement piece of glass regardless of the reason the glass broke. All we will ask is that you send a picture of the broken glass.
The insurance only covers you for one replacement piece of glass. It doesn't cover you if you break the replacement piece of glass.
All stove glass is covered during delivery and any glass broken in transit to you will be replaced free of charge, without affecting your stove glass insurance.

Firewood Starter Bundle

Our Firewood Starter Bundle contains all you need for your first fire in your new stove.

Please make the relevant selection above when placing your order if you require any of these parts and also select whether or not you require a Carbon Monoxide alarm sending out with your order. Question by: Ben on 7 Dec 2022, 16:01
Hi,

Thank you for your enquiry.

The distance we recommend is 150mm to the sides, 100mm to the rear and 300mm to the top.

Hope this helps

Does the Firefox 8.1 multi fuel stove have a top damper?
Question by: Pauline Roden on 28 Apr 2022, 19:16
Hi Pauline, thanks for getting in touch with us. It's more likely you'd use a damper with a pipe not the stove itself and so the stove won't arrive with one.

If you need a damper you can find here -

https://www.directstoves.com/black-vitreous-enamel-damper-pipe.html

I hope this helps?

Can you convert it to log burning only with a wood burning kit?
Question by: Lynsey on 20 Feb 2021, 15:04
Hi Lynsey, thanks for getting in touch. I have been informed that there is not a wood burning kit option for this stove I'm afraid. I hope this helps.
Answer by: Henry Lewis on 26 Feb 2021, 13:47
Would a steel hearth 900w x 700d be suitable with this stove? Thanks
Question by: Anna on 23 Jan 2021, 22:21
Hi Anna. So the clearances required are 150mm left to right, 100mm behind, and 300mm in front. As long as your hearth can accommodate that, it will be fine. Thanks and I hope this helps.
Answer by: Henry Lewis on 26 Jan 2021, 15:41
Dear direct stove team,
Can you please tell me if I can install stove to the loft floor. If so I will install into the existing chimney breast. Do I still need liner pack. Can I order less than 5 meter liner? Do you also provide installation service? Thanks in advance in advance.
Question by: Burhan on 1 Jan 2021, 21:46
Hi there, thanks for your question. As long as it is flued properly then yes, and yes you can order less than 5m of flue, however you are not guaranteed to get a draw if the flue run is 4.5m, although a chimney pot can help to extend the flue and create a better draw! Hopefully this helps!

Can you please tell me if you can get a log stand for this stove? Thanks in advance.
Regards
Iain
Question by: Iain Macaskill on 21 Nov 2020, 22:01
Hi Iain , unfortunately not , sorry about that.
Answer by: Henry Lewis on 24 Nov 2020, 13:19
Hi direct stoves team, four questions please.
1. What is the size of the window of the Firefox 8 Eco?
2. Can it be damped down and left to burn slowly through the night?
3. You talk in another Q & A about this model having 'reduced output rating to pass the Ecodesign 2022 Standards'. Buying a stove that is Eco 2022 rated seems like a forward looking, good plan....but are there downsides to selecting this rather than a Defra compliant but NOT Eco 2022 model? (it's for a central London location)
I am torn between this model and the GO ECO 5kw Wide Plus Highline. I think the Go Eco has a slightly larger window and can certainly take larger logs... but it has a steel body (my previous woodburners have always been cast iron and I like the heat retention. Are there any other key differences I should consider when choosing between them? Many thanks. Barney.
Question by: Barney Jones on 18 Nov 2020, 17:12
Hi Barney , Thanks very much for getting in touch. Your best bet here would be to get in touch with the Sales team via phone 0161 376 4191 who will be able to answer your questions in full.

Delivery Info

Free 1 Man Delivery – For Full Details Please See Delivery Information

Our "Free Delivery" is a one-man service. The goods will arrive on a lorry that is about the size of a fire engine. (Please let us know in advance if you have restricted access or other local issues that could affect delivery).

The lorry has a tail lift that allows the driver to get the item(s) off the vehicle. The order will be packed and secured onto a pallet and the driver will have a pallet truck. He'll be able to wheel this as close as possible to your property. The pallet truck can only be wheeled over a finished surface so it's not possible to wheel it over a gravelled drive, steps, steep slopes for example. The pallets are normally about 1m wide so this is the minimum width gate they can fit through. Please note that the driver is not insured to unpack or carry the item(s) into your house.

Fitting Kits and Liner Packs might arrive separately by courier delivery on the same day unless specified/requested in advance. An email confirmation will be sent if this is the case.

If the goods are showing 48hr delivery, then this is the quickest time we're able to deliver these items (We do not deliver at weekends). You'll be asked to select a delivery date when purchasing the goods. Please note that if you live offshore these dates do not apply as it will take us slightly longer to get the goods to you and we will contact you directly.

Please note that it is an all-day delivery service which is generally from 9 am – 6 pm Monday to Friday. Delivery Depots, if they have the facility, will text in advance but as the vans do multiple runs a day you might not receive a text until the afternoon if this service is available.

Due to current pallet network pressures mainly due to driver shortages we cannot guarantee delivery on your chosen day but will do our best to communicate this as soon as we are made aware by the carriers.

Two Man Delivery (£75)
For Full Details Please See Delivery Information

As the name suggests with our two-man delivery service the goods will be delivered by two men. They will carry your stove into the room of your choice (subject to any changes due to covid restrictions).

They will normally carry it up 1 flight of stairs (if it's safe to do so) but this is at their discretion so if you have a 3rd floor flat, please inform us beforehand to avoid any issues during delivery.

The two-man delivery normally takes 5-10 working days to be delivered once we receive the stock into our own warehouse, but this timescale can be dependent on where you live. We expect the lead time to extend during busier periods/later months of the year. Once the goods come into stock you will be contacted, and delivery arranged.

Please contact us directly if you wish to take advantage of our 2-man service.

PLEASE NOTE THAT WE STRONGLY ADVISE THAT YOU DO NOT BOOK ANY CONTRACTORS, PLUMBER’S, OR FITTERS UNTIL YOU HAVE RECEIVED YOUR GOODS AS UNEXPECTED DELAYS CAN OCCUR.
