Liner Pack & Stove Kits

Direct Stoves - Stove Fitting Kits*
What's included in the fitting kit
  • 1. Black stove pipe.
  • 2. A registration plate is used to seal the chimney opening off from the room preventing dust, soot, dirt and debris falling down the chimney. It also helps to prevent a draft coming down the chimney. We supply a standard 800mm x 400mm galvanised steel register plate with all our stoves. You will simply need to cut the plate to size to fit into your chimney opening.
  • 3. We also provide you with a single stove glove that you can use for stoking the fire and adding wood without the risk of personal injury.

*Only available for wood, multifuel and gas stoves. Excluded for the following which do not need these items: inset stoves, electric stoves, flueless and balanced flue gas stoves and outdoor & garden products.

Optional Extras.
Carbon Monoxide Detector:

Due to an update to Building Regulations it is now law to have a Carbon Monoxide alarm present in any room with a solid fuel appliance:- The Building Regulations 2000 Approved Document J (2010 Edition) '2.34 Where a new or replacement fixed solid fuel appliance is installed in the dwelling, a carbon monoxide alarm should be provided in the room where the appliance is located.'

Flue Liner Packs:
The flue liner pack consists of; a flue adaptor, which connects the stove pipe to the flexible flue liner, Dura Flue flexible flue liner (this will have a relevant diameter to the outlet size of the stove and 316 Grade) cut to the required length and a pot hanger rain cap, this supports the flue liner from the top of the chimney and also acts as a bird guard and rain cap.

Stove Pipe with Door:
A stove pipe with door or access point, allows the chimney to be swept through the pipe itself.

Stove Glass Insurance:
If you select to take out our stove glass insurance this covers your stove glass for the time period you select.
If your glass breaks within that time period we will send you a replacement piece of glass regardless of the reason the glass broke. All we will ask is that you send a picture of the broken glass.
The insurance only covers you for one replacement piece of glass. It doesn't cover you if you break the replacement piece of glass.
All stove glass is covered during delivery and any glass broken in transit to you will be replaced free of charge, without affecting your stove glass insurance.

Firewood Starter Bundle

Our Firewood Starter Bundle contains all you need for your first fire in your new stove.

Product Questions 10

Hi I'm looking at purchasing this stove as a free standing stove , in front of our lounge external wall. We will have the flue going out the wall from the top outlet , will the rear outlet have to be used aswell or is that optional ? Thanks
Question by: Rob h on 2 Mar 2023, 20:44
Hi
Thank you for your enquiry, the flue outlets are interchangeable so you would use either the top or rear and blank off the one that is not being used, hope this helps?
Answer by: Judith Hammond (Admin) on 5 May 2023, 12:24
I'm thinking of getting the skidded. Could you tell me the minimum size of heart for it to sit on. I also need the size and thickness of slate to fit behind as a fire sheild? Thankyou
Question by: Mrs French on 9 Feb 2023, 11:25
Hi,

Thank you for your enquiry.

Hearth regulations for a free standing stove
The hearth must extend at least 300mm to the front and 150mm to either side. It must be at least 12mm thick. It must be made from non-combustible materials. It must also cover a minimum area of 840 x 840mm.

You would need to speak to a fitter about the slate behind because there are no regulations on this. The fitter will have the last say.

Hope this helps

Hi, we are looking at an 8KW stove, what diameter flue will I need? Ideally I’d like to use a 5” liner but would that be too small for an 8 KW stove? Kev
Question by: Kevin Hugh on 22 Jan 2023, 13:55
Thank you for your enquiry, we would not recommend a 5" liner on a stove of that size and the majority of 8kW stoves will have a flue outlet of 6" therefore you cannot reduce this so it would definitely require a minimum of 6". Hope this helps?
Answer by: Judith Hammond (Admin) on 24 Jan 2023, 15:04
I have had a Siddaw woodturner stove delivered. Looks good and I see excellent reviews but just wondering is there an ash tray? How would I remove the ash?
Question by: Angela Lyons on 26 Sep 2022, 06:46
Hi,

Thank you for your enquiry.

There is no ash pan with this stove. Ash pans are normally with multifuel burners. With wood burners you are supposed to burn fuel on a bed of ash. Every week or so just take a small shovel of ash out but do not clear it completely.

Hope this helps
Answer by: Damian Todd (Admin) on 22 Dec 2022, 12:45
Hi, do I need to order any separate parts if using the rear outlet?
Question by: James Cornford-Hutchings on 23 Apr 2022, 17:38
Hi James, thank you for getting in touch with us.

The best thing to do would be purchase a 90 degree bend , of which you can see our choices here -

Good evening. Please can you tell me how I clean the glass and how often I should do this pls? Thanks Katy
Question by: Laty on 8 Feb 2022, 20:29
Hi there Katy thank you for getting in touch.

I would say, there is no set regularity to cleaning the glass - just when you feel it needs it!

After some use, a stove can become clouded, or ‘milky’, and this is down to ‘incomplete combustion’. Glass grazing can also look like the crackling you get from bending a piece of Perspex.

Regularly cleaning the inside of your glass before you light your stove, avoiding fuels with a high sulphur content (and wet wood), as well as severely limiting how long you slumber burn without also burning on a high output with full airwash will all help to prevent crazed glass. However, if your stove glass is so cloudy that it is stopping you from enjoying your stove then perhaps it is time to replace it.

If soot accumulates on the stove glass you can buy an effective Atmosfire dry wiper for cleaning. For any stubborn stains you can use a stove glass cleaner or
ceramic hob cleaner but avoid using any abrasive cleaning products.

I hope this helps!

If rear outlet is used and the top outlet is capped will the cap make the top flush with the surface or will there be an up stand? thanks
Question by: Robert Bennett on 29 Dec 2021, 15:21
Hi Robert, thank you very much for contacting us. I've had a reply from the supplier on this, who has said:

"The spigot cover will sit flush on the top of the stove."

I hope this helps?
Answer by: Henry Lewis on 5 Jan 2022, 11:30
Does this come with brass handle?
Question by: Griff on 25 Oct 2021, 21:15
Hi Griff, thanks for getting in touch. The handle on this model is silver / chrome.
Answer by: Henry Lewis on 27 Oct 2021, 08:42
Would this be suitable for a small log cabin / tiny house?
Question by: Sean Hughes on 16 Dec 2020, 20:45
Hi Sean, we would say so yes. The product description reads: "The portrait shape makes this stove ideal for smaller spaces without compromising on heat output." I hope this helps!

Delivery Info

Free 1 Man Delivery – For Full Details Please See Delivery Information

Our "Free Delivery" is a one-man service. The goods will arrive on a lorry that is about the size of a fire engine. (Please let us know in advance if you have restricted access or other local issues that could affect delivery).

The lorry has a tail lift that allows the driver to get the item(s) off the vehicle. The order will be packed and secured onto a pallet and the driver will have a pallet truck. He'll be able to wheel this as close as possible to your property. The pallet truck can only be wheeled over a finished surface so it's not possible to wheel it over a gravelled drive, steps, steep slopes for example. The pallets are normally about 1m wide so this is the minimum width gate they can fit through. Please note that the driver is not insured to unpack or carry the item(s) into your house.

Fitting Kits and Liner Packs might arrive separately by courier delivery on the same day unless specified/requested in advance. An email confirmation will be sent if this is the case.

If the goods are showing 48hr delivery, then this is the quickest time we're able to deliver these items (We do not deliver at weekends). You'll be asked to select a delivery date when purchasing the goods. Please note that if you live offshore these dates do not apply as it will take us slightly longer to get the goods to you and we will contact you directly.

Please note that it is an all-day delivery service which is generally from 9 am – 6 pm Monday to Friday. Delivery Depots, if they have the facility, will text in advance but as the vans do multiple runs a day you might not receive a text until the afternoon if this service is available.

Due to current pallet network pressures mainly due to driver shortages we cannot guarantee delivery on your chosen day but will do our best to communicate this as soon as we are made aware by the carriers.

Two Man Delivery (£75)
For Full Details Please See Delivery Information

As the name suggests with our two-man delivery service the goods will be delivered by two men. They will carry your stove into the room of your choice (subject to any changes due to covid restrictions).

They will normally carry it up 1 flight of stairs (if it's safe to do so) but this is at their discretion so if you have a 3rd floor flat, please inform us beforehand to avoid any issues during delivery.

The two-man delivery normally takes 5-10 working days to be delivered once we receive the stock into our own warehouse, but this timescale can be dependent on where you live. We expect the lead time to extend during busier periods/later months of the year. Once the goods come into stock you will be contacted, and delivery arranged.

Please contact us directly if you wish to take advantage of our 2-man service.

PLEASE NOTE THAT WE STRONGLY ADVISE THAT YOU DO NOT BOOK ANY CONTRACTORS, PLUMBER’S, OR FITTERS UNTIL YOU HAVE RECEIVED YOUR GOODS AS UNEXPECTED DELAYS CAN OCCUR.
