Description
Our Staggered Grey White Slate Fireplace Chamber is made from real slate. These cuttable panels enable you to quickly finish a fireplace opening to a superb standard; our fire chambers are the perfect backdrop for your new stove.
The Chamber comes in 3 pieces:
1 x 900mm - 900mm (these make up the back panel)
2 x 410mm - 900mm (these make up the side panels)
Please Note: Colour and Pointing will vary from the photographs as each panel is handmade and is subject to variations in texture and tolerances from panel to panel.

Do these fire chambers sit on top of the hearth or behind it?

Most of the time the chambers are installed on top of the hearth to achieve a neater join however they can be fitted either way.

Hi Nicola, thank you for getting in touch. I have had a reply from the supplier on this, and they have said the following:
"You would need a diamond tip blade/grinder to cut those. The type used to cut ceramic tiles. You'll need to be careful though when doing so."

Is it possible to install these with a log burner in situ? Or would the log burner need to be removed in order to stick the back panel to the wall?

"Probably a bit difficult to install with the stove in situ, so always best to remove to get the best fix without any obstructions."

Free 1 Man Delivery – For Full Details Please See Delivery Information
Our "Free Delivery" is a one-man service. The goods will arrive on a lorry that is about the size of a fire engine. (Please let us know in advance if you have restricted access or other local issues that could affect delivery).
The lorry has a tail lift that allows the driver to get the item(s) off the vehicle. The order will be packed and secured onto a pallet and the driver will have a pallet truck. He'll be able to wheel this as close as possible to your property. The pallet truck can only be wheeled over a finished surface so it's not possible to wheel it over a gravelled drive, steps, steep slopes for example. The pallets are normally about 1m wide so this is the minimum width gate they can fit through. Please note that the driver is not insured to unpack or carry the item(s) into your house.
Fitting Kits and Liner Packs might arrive separately by courier delivery on the same day unless specified/requested in advance. An email confirmation will be sent if this is the case.
If the goods are showing 48hr delivery, then this is the quickest time we're able to deliver these items (We do not deliver at weekends). You'll be asked to select a delivery date when purchasing the goods. Please note that if you live offshore these dates do not apply as it will take us slightly longer to get the goods to you and we will contact you directly.
Please note that it is an all-day delivery service which is generally from 9 am – 6 pm Monday to Friday. Delivery Depots, if they have the facility, will text in advance but as the vans do multiple runs a day you might not receive a text until the afternoon if this service is available.
Due to current pallet network pressures mainly due to driver shortages we cannot guarantee delivery on your chosen day but will do our best to communicate this as soon as we are made aware by the carriers.
Two Man Delivery (£75) – For Full Details Please See Delivery Information
As the name suggests with our two-man delivery service the goods will be delivered by two men. They will carry your stove into the room of your choice (subject to any changes due to covid restrictions).
They will normally carry it up 1 flight of stairs (if it's safe to do so) but this is at their discretion so if you have a 3rd floor flat, please inform us beforehand to avoid any issues during delivery.
The two-man delivery normally takes 5-10 working days to be delivered once we receive the stock into our own warehouse, but this timescale can be dependent on where you live. We expect the lead time to extend during busier periods/later months of the year. Once the goods come into stock you will be contacted, and delivery arranged.
