Liner Pack & Stove Kits

Direct Stoves - Stove Fitting Kits*
What's included in the fitting kit
  • 1. Black stove pipe.
  • 2. A registration plate is used to seal the chimney opening off from the room preventing dust, soot, dirt and debris falling down the chimney. It also helps to prevent a draft coming down the chimney. We supply a standard 800mm x 400mm galvanised steel register plate with all our stoves. You will simply need to cut the plate to size to fit into your chimney opening.
  • 3. We also provide you with a single stove glove that you can use for stoking the fire and adding wood without the risk of personal injury.

*Only available for wood, multifuel and gas stoves. Excluded for the following which do not need these items: inset stoves, electric stoves, flueless and balanced flue gas stoves and outdoor & garden products.

Optional Extras.
Carbon Monoxide Detector:

Due to an update to Building Regulations it is now law to have a Carbon Monoxide alarm present in any room with a solid fuel appliance:- The Building Regulations 2000 Approved Document J (2010 Edition) '2.34 Where a new or replacement fixed solid fuel appliance is installed in the dwelling, a carbon monoxide alarm should be provided in the room where the appliance is located.'

Flue Liner Packs:
The flue liner pack consists of; a flue adaptor, which connects the stove pipe to the flexible flue liner, Dura Flue flexible flue liner (this will have a relevant diameter to the outlet size of the stove and 316 Grade) cut to the required length and a pot hanger rain cap, this supports the flue liner from the top of the chimney and also acts as a bird guard and rain cap.

Stove Pipe with Door:
A stove pipe with door or access point, allows the chimney to be swept through the pipe itself.

Stove Glass Insurance:
If you select to take out our stove glass insurance this covers your stove glass for the time period you select.
If your glass breaks within that time period we will send you a replacement piece of glass regardless of the reason the glass broke. All we will ask is that you send a picture of the broken glass.
The insurance only covers you for one replacement piece of glass. It doesn't cover you if you break the replacement piece of glass.
All stove glass is covered during delivery and any glass broken in transit to you will be replaced free of charge, without affecting your stove glass insurance.

Do I need an electric supply for a mains gas wood burner?
Question by: Robin on 1 May 2021, 20:22
Hi Robin, thank you for getting in touch. You do not need a main electric supply for this gas burner no. I hope this helps.

Hi,
We are looking for a replacement for our gas fire, we was going to go down the route of a log burner instead, but as we have a modern home and no chimney we were advise the cost of one would not be a practical one , so our alternative would be a gas fire that looks like a log burner, our old gas fire is on a powerflue that we have been told are not very fuel cost efficient and of course the fan was quite noisy. With all this said would it be possible to have a balanced flue gas fire that looks like a log burner , we have seen some on your site that look great, any advice would be appreciated

Thank you
Question by: Joanne Richmond on 6 Feb 2021, 12:04
Hi there Joanne, thanks very much for getting in touch. Firstly, in terms of replacement, you would be advised to have a qualified tradesperson to come and look at your current set up and to offer their advice on whether as gas fire or gas stove would be a good option.

In terms of balanced flue gas fires, I have picked out a couple here -

https://www.direct-fireplaces.com/elgin-hall-deepline-balanced-flue-inset-gas-fire-cast-stove-fascia.html

https://www.direct-fireplaces.com/verine-alpena-balanced-flue-gas-fire.html

and in terms of balanced flue gas stoves we actually have a fair few with a log effect option -

https://www.directstoves.com/stoves/gas-stoves/balanced-flue-gas-stoves.html

So it's up to you really. For even more advice I think your best option would be to give our sales team a call via - 0161 376 4191

I hope this helps!

I am about to buy a house with underfloor heating. The present owners do not use their log burner because the room would be too hot! What I want is as little heat as possible from the gas powered 'wood burning' stove. In other words is the flame effect that I want.

What do you think?

Yours ever,

Patrick
Question by: patrick Nicholls on 14 Jan 2021, 17:55
Hi Patrick, thanks for getting in touch. So what I have done is refine the search to log effect gas fires with less than 5kW output. From there you can look at individual models that you like and their output. I hope this helps?

Hi, I would like to buy and install this in my fireplace and there seems to be a gas pipe here. How do I check that it’s working and compatible? And what’s the best way to find someone to install it?
Question by: Victoria on 7 Jan 2021, 21:18
Hi Victoria, thanks for getting in touch. So the answer to both of your questions would be to get in contact with a certified HETAS installer who can firstly check your gas pipe, and then once you have decided on the stove you would like to buy they can install too. The link to HETAS is here -

https://www.hetas.co.uk/find-installer/

I hope this helps.

Delivery Info

Free 1 Man Delivery – For Full Details Please See Delivery Information

Our "Free Delivery" is a one-man service. The goods will arrive on a lorry that is about the size of a fire engine. (Please let us know in advance if you have restricted access or other local issues that could affect delivery).

The lorry has a tail lift that allows the driver to get the item(s) off the vehicle. The order will be packed and secured onto a pallet and the driver will have a pallet truck. He'll be able to wheel this as close as possible to your property. The pallet truck can only be wheeled over a finished surface so it's not possible to wheel it over a gravelled drive, steps, steep slopes for example. The pallets are normally about 1m wide so this is the minimum width gate they can fit through. Please note that the driver is not insured to unpack or carry the item(s) into your house.

Fitting Kits and Liner Packs might arrive separately by courier delivery on the same day unless specified/requested in advance. An email confirmation will be sent if this is the case.

If the goods are showing 48hr delivery, then this is the quickest time we're able to deliver these items (We do not deliver at weekends). You'll be asked to select a delivery date when purchasing the goods. Please note that if you live offshore these dates do not apply as it will take us slightly longer to get the goods to you and we will contact you directly.

Please note that it is an all-day delivery service which is generally from 9 am – 6 pm Monday to Friday. Delivery Depots, if they have the facility, will text in advance but as the vans do multiple runs a day you might not receive a text until the afternoon if this service is available.

Due to current pallet network pressures mainly due to driver shortages we cannot guarantee delivery on your chosen day but will do our best to communicate this as soon as we are made aware by the carriers.

Two Man Delivery (£75)
For Full Details Please See Delivery Information

As the name suggests with our two-man delivery service the goods will be delivered by two men. They will carry your stove into the room of your choice (subject to any changes due to covid restrictions).

They will normally carry it up 1 flight of stairs (if it's safe to do so) but this is at their discretion so if you have a 3rd floor flat, please inform us beforehand to avoid any issues during delivery.

The two-man delivery normally takes 5-10 working days to be delivered once we receive the stock into our own warehouse, but this timescale can be dependent on where you live. We expect the lead time to extend during busier periods/later months of the year. Once the goods come into stock you will be contacted, and delivery arranged.

Please contact us directly if you wish to take advantage of our 2-man service.

PLEASE NOTE THAT WE STRONGLY ADVISE THAT YOU DO NOT BOOK ANY CONTRACTORS, PLUMBER’S, OR FITTERS UNTIL YOU HAVE RECEIVED YOUR GOODS AS UNEXPECTED DELAYS CAN OCCUR.
