Product information
The Ekol Adept Classic Bioethanol Stove combines British-made craftsmanship, modern stove design and flexible fuel options in one stylish model. With its sleek welded steel body, smokeless performance and full-width curved door, it is designed to bring efficient heating and an attractive focal point to a wide range of interiors.
As a standard wood-burning stove, the Ekol Adept Classic offers up to 5kW of heat output, making it well suited to medium to large living spaces. Its clean-burning firebox and advanced airwash system help to optimise performance, while the airwash keeps the glass door clear for an excellent view of the flames. With an efficiency rating of 80.3% and DEFRA approval, it is designed to deliver strong performance while meeting the requirements for smokeless operation in urban areas and smoke control zones across the UK.
The Adept Classic is designed with practical everyday use in mind. Self-levelling legs are available in 60mm or 100mm heights to help provide a stable installation on uneven floors, while top or rear flue options offer flexibility to suit your flue location. The full-width curved glass door creates a panoramic view of the firebox, and the stove is available in contemporary glass or classic curved styles.
For added versatility, the Ekol Adept Classic can also be used with a bioethanol fuel insert tray, which gives a typical heat output of 1-1.5kW. This makes it ideal as a background heat source or for creating a real flame aesthetic when you do not require the heat of a woodburner. It is particularly well suited to spring and summer evenings, or for winter use in rooms where there is already a primary heat source, such as central heating.
This stove can either be installed as a normal wood or multifuel stove with an appropriate flue system, allowing it to be used for solid fuel or bioethanol, or it can be installed free-standing without a chimney or flue if you intend to use only the bioethanol option.
The bioethanol burner tray can be lifted in and out of the stove easily without any tools. When removed, it can also be used outside the stove, for example on a patio during summer evenings. With the tray removed, the stove becomes the standard wood stove and can be used with wood, subject to a suitable chimney connection.
Built from dense welded steel, the Ekol Adept Classic is made for lasting durability as well as visual appeal. With a choice of colour options, including traditional black as well as red, blue or green shades, it can be styled to suit your room’s décor while retaining the clean lines that define the Adept series.
Bioethanol also offers a number of practical benefits. As a biofuel, it is considered carbon-neutral because the carbon dioxide released during burning is absorbed by plants during their growth. The liquid fuel is easy and clean to store, and although the heat output is noticeably lower than a solid fuel appliance, the bioethanol burner still provides useful background warmth together with the attraction and cosiness of a real flame fire.
