    Details

    The Woolly Mammoth 5 is the perfect cosy stove for small to medium sized rooms, offering an ample 4.9kw of nominal heat and great controllability. By evolving the design of a traditional cast iron stove and introducing a contemporary steel body, the Woolly Mammoth 5 will reach optimum temperature swiftly whilst still offering true multi-fuel burning capabilities.

    With an exceptionally large viewing glass to the burning chamber dominating the front aspect, you no longer have to compromise the view of your fire when choosing a smaller stove and yet its intelligent design provides a focal point for any size living space.

    Adjustable primary and secondary air intakes work harmoniously with a pre-adjusted tertiary air supply to produce incredibly clean and efficient combustion of all solid fuels to minimise unnecessary refuelling and running costs.

    What's included in the offer:

    • 1. Black stove pipe. 
    • 2. A registration plate is used to seal the chimney opening off from the room preventing dust, soot, dirt and debris falling down the chimney. It also helps to prevent a draft coming down the chimney. We supply a standard 1000mm x 500mm galvanised steel register plate with all our stoves. You will simply need to cut the plate to size to fit into your chimney opening.
    • 3. We also provide you with a single stove glove that you can use for stoking the fire and adding wood without the risk of personal injury.


    *Excludes electric stoves, flueless and balanced flue gas stoves - as these are not required.

    Carbon Monoxide Detector:


    Due to an update to Building Regulations it is now law to have a Carbon Monoxide alarm present in any room with a solid fuel appliance:- The Building Regulations 2000 Approved Document J (2010 Edition) '2.34 Where a new or replacement fixed solid fuel appliance is installed in the dwelling, a carbon monoxide alarm should be provided in the room where the appliance is located.' 


     
     


    Flue Liner Packs:


    The flue liner pack consists of; a nose cone, to easily manoeuvre the flue liner into place, a flue adaptor, which connects the stove pipe to the flexible flue liner, Dura Flue flexible flue liner (this is 6" in diameter and 316 Grade) cut to the required length and a 6" pot hanger rain cap (in terracotta or stainless steel finish) this supports the flue liner from the top of the chimney and also acts as a bird guard and rain cap.

     

     
     


    Stove Pipe with Door:


    A stove pipe with door or access point, allows the chimney to be swept through the pipe itself.  

     

     

     


    Stove Glass Insurance:


    If you select to take out our stove glass insurance this covers your stove glass for the time period you select. If your glass breaks within that time period we will send you a replacement piece of glass regardless of the reason the glass broke. All we will ask is that you send a picture of the broken glass.
    The insurance only covers you for one replacement piece of glass. It doesn't cover you if you break the replacement piece of glass.
    All stove glass is covered during delivery and any glass broken in transit to you will be replaced free of charge, without affecting your stove glass insurance.

    Hi we want to fit a multi fuel stove where an existing fire was, the chimney already has a fire clay pipe do I need buy an additional liner,

    Hello Brian

    You if you have a clay liner in place already, you shouldn't need to install an additional flexible flue liner, however you should have a chimney sweep come out, sweep the chimney and preform a smoke test just to confirm the clay liner is in good condition.

    Can this be used with back boiler
    A:
    Hi Carol,
    Thank you for your question.
    Unfortunately you wouldn't be able to fit this stove with a back boiler in the fireplace. The back boiler will already have a flue system inside the chimney which would need to be replaced to fit the stove.
    We would recommend calling our stove experts on 0845 450 8351 for fitting information or getting some advice from a Hetas registered stove installer (Find an installer here http://www.hetas.co.uk/find-installer/) before purchasing your stove.

    Thank you for your question.
    Yes the Woolly Mammoth 5 multifuel stove does have an Air wash system.
    The Primary burn is to fuel the fire, the secondary burn is the air wash system and the tertiary burn relights the exhaust in the fire chamber and reduces the amount of particulates that can escape into the atmosphere.

    If I buy this multi fuel stoves how often would I Need to clean it out? Never had one before
    A:
    How often you need to clean a stove out would depend on usage and the fuel you used. If you used coal you might need to empty the ash pan everyday or every two days (depending on the amount of fuel you used). If you used seasoned hard wood that might be reduced to every 3 times you used it.

    It’s fairly easy to see when it needs emptying as the ash pan will be full.

    The Woolly Mammoth stoves are designed in the UK and manufactured in the Far East.
    They all have a 5-year warranty and all stoves undergo a 20 point checklist for quality before leaving the supplier.
    The Woolly Mammoth 6 was a finalist in the Hearth & Home Awards 2016 - Appliance of the Year.

    Who is eligible to apply for finance?

    Finance is available on orders of £250 or more, placed on our website. This amount includes any additional services and delivery options selected, however does not take into account any promotions, such as cashback.

    You'll need to be:

    • 18 years or older.
    • A UK resident for 3 years or more/Permanent UK resident.
    • Able to make regular repayments by Direct Debit.
    • In regular employment (minimum of 16 hours per week) including self-employment, or in a permanent residence with your spouse/partner who's in regular employment*
    • Have a debit card or credit card in your name and registered to your address and have a bank or building society current account.

       

    Other conditions may apply and we cannot guarantee that your application will be accepted.

    * If you are retired and receive a pension, or registered disabled and unable to work, V12 Retail Finance may ask for proof of sufficient income.

    How long will it take to apply?

    You should get an instant answer on whether your application for finance has been successful. In some cases, V12 – our 3rd party financial services provider - will need to look at the application in more detail before making their decision.

    What do I need to apply?

    What happens if my application is turned down?

    Applications may not be accepted for a number of reasons, including mis-typed information, or not meeting the specified requirements. Please note that other conditions may apply and we cannot guarantee that your application will be accepted.

    If your application isn't successful, you can still purchase the item in full via PayPal or with a valid credit or debit card. If your application is declined, it’s usually for one of the following reasons:

    • you do not meet the eligibility criteria;
    • adverse credit reference agency information;
    • your credit score;
    • you are considered to be overcommitted financially; or
    • your existing account performance with other lenders.
