Liner Pack & Stove Kits

Direct Stoves - Stove Fitting Kits*
What's included in the fitting kit
  • 1. Black stove pipe.
  • 2. A registration plate is used to seal the chimney opening off from the room preventing dust, soot, dirt and debris falling down the chimney. It also helps to prevent a draft coming down the chimney. We supply a standard 800mm x 400mm galvanised steel register plate with all our stoves. You will simply need to cut the plate to size to fit into your chimney opening.
  • 3. We also provide you with a single stove glove that you can use for stoking the fire and adding wood without the risk of personal injury.

*Only available for wood, multifuel and gas stoves. Excluded for the following which do not need these items: inset stoves, electric stoves, flueless and balanced flue gas stoves and outdoor & garden products.

Optional Extras.
Carbon Monoxide Detector:

Due to an update to Building Regulations it is now law to have a Carbon Monoxide alarm present in any room with a solid fuel appliance:- The Building Regulations 2000 Approved Document J (2010 Edition) '2.34 Where a new or replacement fixed solid fuel appliance is installed in the dwelling, a carbon monoxide alarm should be provided in the room where the appliance is located.'

Flue Liner Packs:
The flue liner pack consists of; a flue adaptor, which connects the stove pipe to the flexible flue liner, Dura Flue flexible flue liner (this will have a relevant diameter to the outlet size of the stove and 316 Grade) cut to the required length and a pot hanger rain cap, this supports the flue liner from the top of the chimney and also acts as a bird guard and rain cap.

Stove Pipe with Door:
A stove pipe with door or access point, allows the chimney to be swept through the pipe itself.

Stove Glass Insurance:
If you select to take out our stove glass insurance this covers your stove glass for the time period you select.
If your glass breaks within that time period we will send you a replacement piece of glass regardless of the reason the glass broke. All we will ask is that you send a picture of the broken glass.
The insurance only covers you for one replacement piece of glass. It doesn't cover you if you break the replacement piece of glass.
All stove glass is covered during delivery and any glass broken in transit to you will be replaced free of charge, without affecting your stove glass insurance.

Q & A

We have a normal gas fire at the moment and I believe a letterbox flue. Is this ample for this fire?
Question by: Nicola on 28 Dec 2022, 13:00
Hi,

Thank you for your enquiry.

Unfortunately these are not suitable for pre cast flues.

Hope this helps

Hello, I'm interested in purchasing the Tiger Gas Stove with Log Effect, I've checked my chimney and it is clear, I'm just wondering if a flue liner is recommended or ok without?.
Thank you,
Katie.
Question by: Katie Lee on 22 Nov 2022, 15:06
Hi,

Thankyou for your enquiry.

It is always considered good practice to put a flue liner in. If you don't want to I would advise you contact the gas engineer who is fitting it for you and he would tell you if you need one or not.

Hope this helps.

If you have anymore enquiries please email [email protected]

What sort of and sized fire place and surround is suitable for this fire? What depth recess do you need to fit fire into?
Thanks
Question by: TERESA MARIANNA ANGELICA JACKSON on 4 May 2021, 13:11
Hi there Teresa thanks very much for getting in touch. In the User Guide of this product it reads the following:

Your hearth should protrude at least 150mm (6") in front of the stove body and be at least 12mm (1/2") thick. In most buildings with solid concrete floors this requirement will be met by the floor itself. There should be a gap of at least 150mm (6") on either side of the stove, more if possible as the greater the space the greater the amount of heat being released into the room. If the stove is to be fitted into an existing opening there should be a minimum of 150mm (6") clearance on both sides, with the back of the flue diverter box 15mm clear of the rear wall. On all stove installations no combustible material should cover the hearth, or be placed any closer then 225mm (9") from the stove. This includes carpeting and other combustible floor coverings.

Ensure the chimney is not closed and that it has been swept prior to the stove being installed. Make sure that rain, birds or any foreign body cannot get into the chimney to cause damage or a blockage. This problem can normally be overcome by fitting an approved Gas Cowl. It is essential to the effective running of your stove that the chimney draws properly to allow the products of combustion to escape."

I hope this helps!

Hi! Can I replace my log burner with this gas fire using the same flue? I have gas and will get a plumber to do the work I’m just wondering if the same flue can be used. Thanks
Question by: Claire on 1 Jan 2021, 19:20
Hi Claire. Thanks for your question. So technically yes you can. However, you would need your chimney sweeping and checked first, and some fitter's might not feel comfortable installing into a flue someone else has previously installed. I hope this helps!

Hi there just wondering, can I fit a TV on top of the stove? Or is there any other way it can be done.
Question by: Masud Ali on 27 Dec 2020, 12:36
Hi Masud, in terms of putting a TV directly on top of the stove this is not advisable at all due to the heat transfer. if you want to to put a TV above, again this is something you need to be very careful with and I would check the warranty of your TV to see whether they would cover for any damage potentially caused by your stove. I hope this helps. Thanks.

Delivery Info

Free 1 Man Delivery – For Full Details Please See Delivery Information

Our "Free Delivery" is a one-man service. The goods will arrive on a lorry that is about the size of a fire engine. (Please let us know in advance if you have restricted access or other local issues that could affect delivery).

The lorry has a tail lift that allows the driver to get the item(s) off the vehicle. The order will be packed and secured onto a pallet and the driver will have a pallet truck. He'll be able to wheel this as close as possible to your property. The pallet truck can only be wheeled over a finished surface so it's not possible to wheel it over a gravelled drive, steps, steep slopes for example. The pallets are normally about 1m wide so this is the minimum width gate they can fit through. Please note that the driver is not insured to unpack or carry the item(s) into your house.

Fitting Kits and Liner Packs might arrive separately by courier delivery on the same day unless specified/requested in advance. An email confirmation will be sent if this is the case.

If the goods are showing 48hr delivery, then this is the quickest time we're able to deliver these items (We do not deliver at weekends). You'll be asked to select a delivery date when purchasing the goods. Please note that if you live offshore these dates do not apply as it will take us slightly longer to get the goods to you and we will contact you directly.

Please note that it is an all-day delivery service which is generally from 9 am – 6 pm Monday to Friday. Delivery Depots, if they have the facility, will text in advance but as the vans do multiple runs a day you might not receive a text until the afternoon if this service is available.

Due to current pallet network pressures mainly due to driver shortages we cannot guarantee delivery on your chosen day but will do our best to communicate this as soon as we are made aware by the carriers.

Two Man Delivery (£75)
For Full Details Please See Delivery Information

As the name suggests with our two-man delivery service the goods will be delivered by two men. They will carry your stove into the room of your choice (subject to any changes due to covid restrictions).

They will normally carry it up 1 flight of stairs (if it's safe to do so) but this is at their discretion so if you have a 3rd floor flat, please inform us beforehand to avoid any issues during delivery.

The two-man delivery normally takes 5-10 working days to be delivered once we receive the stock into our own warehouse, but this timescale can be dependent on where you live. We expect the lead time to extend during busier periods/later months of the year. Once the goods come into stock you will be contacted, and delivery arranged.

Please contact us directly if you wish to take advantage of our 2-man service.

PLEASE NOTE THAT WE STRONGLY ADVISE THAT YOU DO NOT BOOK ANY CONTRACTORS, PLUMBER’S, OR FITTERS UNTIL YOU HAVE RECEIVED YOUR GOODS AS UNEXPECTED DELAYS CAN OCCUR.
