Hi can we fit a wood burner or duel fuel in our 2 story house which is timber framed with plasterboard lining and stone brick exterior and currently has a gas stove fitted into a hearth with the flue going horizontally to the outside passing along at floor level to the outside wall approximately 7 feet. The only outside wall faces to the front and corner of the sitting room. Can you advise please

Hi Pam,
Thank you for your question.

It sounds like you have a Balanced flue gas fire.

You can have a wood or multifuel stove but you would need to have a "Twinwall" flue system as balanced flue is only suitable for gas fires.

You can download our flue design sheets here - https://www.directstoves.com/index.php/downloads/dl/file/name/Flue Design Sheets.pdf/

Please fill in all the relevant details and measurements and send to [email protected]

One of our stove experts can then advise you on products needed and costs involved.

Hope this helps?
Kind regards,
