I would like to fit a gas stove with a rear outlet into a open fireplace with a Victorian canopy surround. It is a conventional Class2 flue with a strong draw. I do not want to line the chimney. I have had a steel plate frame to butt upto the Victorian surround to seal it from drafts etc. Can you suggest any models which would go into a closure plate? Thanks.

Hi Antony,
Thank you for your question.
We would recommend either of these two Broseley gas stoves.
Canterbury - https://www.directstoves.com/broseley-canterbury-slimline-gas-stove.html

Lincoln - https://www.directstoves.com/broseley-lincoln-slimline-gas-stove.html

They are both suitable for use with a closure plate, please see the installation guide on the "Downloads" section of either stove for more info.

Hope this helps?
Kind regards,
