The Esse Ironheart multifuel range cooker is a cooker that burns logs beautifully and a stove that cooks to perfection.
First conceived to mark the 150th anniversary of the company, the inspiration for this product was found in the earliest appliances in the ESSE museum. Small domestic stoves for both cooking and heating. ESSE was amongst the first to introduce the closed stove concept to the British market, and consumers soon recognised the design's advantages over the open fire alternatives, of greatly increased economy and control.
Esse's Ironheart takes these attributes to a new level, with a tested efficiency rating at over 82%, and low CO emissions to exceed current standards. Add to this the glass fronted firebox, multi-fuel capability, oven temperature controllability, machined hotplate surface and superbly engineered stainless steel hotplate insulating covers, and you have an appliance traditional only in looks.
The Ironheart is also available with a hot water boiler. This boiler produces 2.6kW of heat to water. This is 8870BUTs which is enough heat to power 2 standard radiators or a hot water tank.
- Suitable for overnight burning
- Operating range (depending on fuel type and settings) up to 8kW/h
- Afterburn™ system for outstanding flame and heat control
- Pre-heated secondary airwash
- Adjustable fuel retaining guard
- High capacity glass fronted firebox

What's included in the offer:

You will simply need to cut the plate to size to fit into your chimney opening.
- 3. We also provide you with a single stove glove that you can use for stoking the fire and adding wood without the risk of personal injury.

Carbon Monoxide Detector:
Due to an update to Building Regulations it is now law to have a Carbon Monoxide alarm present in any room with a solid fuel appliance:- The Building Regulations 2000 Approved Document J (2010 Edition) '2.34 Where a new or replacement fixed solid fuel appliance is installed in the dwelling, a carbon monoxide alarm should be provided in the room where the appliance is located.'
Flue Liner Packs:
The flue liner pack consists of a flue adaptor which connects the stove pipe to the flexible flue liner, Dura Flue flexible flue liner (this is 6" in diameter and 316 Grade) cut to the required length and a 6" pot hanger rain cap this supports the flue liner from the top of the chimney and also acts as a bird guard and rain cap.
Stove Pipe with Door:
A stove pipe with door or access point, allows the chimney to be swept through the pipe itself.
Stove Glass Insurance:
If you select to take out our stove glass insurance this covers your stove glass for the time period you select. If your glass breaks within that time period we will send you a replacement piece of glass regardless of the reason the glass broke. All we will ask is that you send a picture of the broken glass.
The insurance only covers you for one replacement piece of glass. It doesn't cover you if you break the replacement piece of glass.
All stove glass is covered during delivery and any glass broken in transit to you will be replaced free of charge, without affecting your stove glass insurance.
Please make the relevant selection above when placing your order if you require any of these parts and also select whether or not you require a Carbon Monoxide alarm sending out with your order. Please note that if these parts aren't selected with your order we can't send them for free after your order has been delivered.

Q & A
my iron heart is smoking badly from everywhere I need some instructionsA:Hi Bev,
Thank you for your question.
It sounds as if there may be a blockage somewhere, have you had the chimney swept recently, this is the first thing to try. If the exhaust can't get out through the flue it will escape by any means it can find.
If you have had the chimney swept, we would suggest calling Esse's technical support team, they are very knowledgeable and super friendly. You can contact them through their website https://www.esse.com/contact/ and check the Technical support button at the top of the form or call them up any weekday between 9am and 5pm on 01282 813235 and choose Option 4.
Hope this helps you to get the problem fixed?
Kind regards,Customer Support answered on 2 November 2017Is the essence iron heart stove DEFRA approved?A:Hi David,
Thank you for your question.
The Esse Ironheart cooker stove is not Defra approved.
The only Esse cookers with Defra approval are the 990N and the Plus 1 range cooker.
Hope this helps?
