The difference between wood burning and multi fuel stoves
What’s the difference between a wood burning and a multi fuel stove?
Multi fuel stove and wood burning stoves differ in the way that they burn fuel. Wood burning stoves have a flat bottom where the wood burns on a bed of ash. This helps the wood to burn much slower than it would in a multi fuel stove. In a multi fuel stove the fuel sits on grate; this grate allows air to enter from below to feed oxygen into the fire. There is then an ash pan below the grate to collect the ash. It is possible to burn both wood and coal in a multi-fuel stove where as a wood burning stove can only burn wood.
